The Salamander Stone

The Salamander Stone - C.J. Fenge I got a PDF ARC copy of this book so I could post up a blog tour post.*****This book is basically one of my 8/10 ratings. It's good, but not that good, but still good, but it just doesn't give you that feeling of suspense and it doesn't really make you all crazy- you just read it and that's it. Whenever I give 4 stars, that is what I think. I read it, enjoyed it, goodbye.Don't get me wrong, I actually enjoyed it- a lot. At first, it was a bit slow, and then it got better. A lot better, in fact. Since this is a review copy, it might change when it's actually publicized. But yeah! I, um. Am such a sucker for romance. And unfortunately, this book had nothing. D: It was sort of like a little-sister big-brother kind of 'love'. But I found it really cute!Ok, I admit it. Who doesn't do this, anyway. I judged the book by its cover. Oh, and the title is quite crucial to the story. Let me make an analogy- The Salamander Stone is to The Salamander Stone as The Hunger Games is to Mockingjay. Get it? ;DIt also reminds me of the Gallagher Girls series. Because of the constant "PROTAGONIST IN DANGER 24/7 JUST BECAUSE".This book is sort of like a spy-ish, mystery-ish, fantasy-ish book. I don't want to put in my bias on Mystery/Spy books, so, I would totally recommend this to middle-grade readers that are fans of 20%Fantasy and 80%Mystery/Suspense. I apologize for this lackluster review! It has nothing to do with the book, it's just that I'm tired. omg. Here is my full review: http://bookaholic-ness.blogspot.com/2012/09/book-review-salamander-stone-by-cj-fenge.html
