The Heroes of Olympus, Book One: The Lost Hero

The Lost Hero (Heroes of Olympus, #1) - Rick Riordan Alrighty. I expected no less from the fabulous Rick Riordan.Like, after that AMAZING Percy Jackson series, and that FANTABULOUS Kane Chronicles, I expected The Heroes of Olympus to be no less dazzling. So, basically, Rick Riordan is big on mythology, if any of you don't know that yet. Kane Chronicles- Egyptian. Percy Jackson- Greek. And Heroes of Olympus- Roman! We all know that Roman and Greek mythology are alike, but the gods look entirely different and their attitude is different as well. So, the three main characters (reminds me of Harry Potter all over again) are Jason, Piper, and Leo. Okay. Jason is good. Piper is great. BUT LEO. OMG. HE IS AMAZING LIKE HIS SENSE OF HUMOR AM I OVEREXAGGERATING OH WAIT NO I'M NOT OK I'M GOING TO STOP NOWI don't really think I should explain the plot because well, it's all in the summary. Anyway, when I encountered Annabeth in this story I got all excited because I LOVE the Percy Jackson series. Even if they went to Camp Half-Blood and everything, Jason is mainly concentrated on Roman mythology. So, sadly, they did NOT find Percy in this book. But oh-ho. They will. The ending of this book made me so overwhelmed. THANK GOODNESS I HAVE BOOK 2 AND 3 GAH. I'm scared now. Anyways, since Rick Riordan is such a good writer he sucked me in immediately. The 553 pages passed by like lightning. And the characters he creates are so. freaking. awesome. And the nonexistent romance doesn't even matter. I love love love love love his books. When I finished this book, I looked at the cover and title, and everything made sense. And then I saw the title of book 2, and I was like, OH! OHMYGOD OHMYGOD OH MY GODDDDDDD. I'm really looking forward to reading the rest of this series! My full blog review can be found here: http://bookaholic-ness.blogspot.com/2012/11/book-review-lost-hero-by-rick-riordan.html
